This weekend will be an exciting for the Latin community as one of the most talented male vocalists in the industry-- platinum and gold selling artist Rubby Perez-- will join forces with Award winning DJ Ruby at Blue Tequila Bar & Lounge for ONE night only!
Rubby, Perez, of Dominican descent, grew into music early in his career by joining The Wilfredo Vargas Orchestra singing songs “Volveré" and "Cuando Estés Con El". His next step into the merengue world? Becoming a member of “Los Hijos del Rey” with Fernando Villalona, having success with songs “El African” and “Cobarde Cobarde", to name a few. With this track record, it is no surprise that he launched a solo career in 1987. Ruby Perez was an instant hit! Releasing songs which quickly became popular... "Buscando tus besos", Dame venemo", "Enamorado de ella", "Hazme Olvidar", "Tu Vas a Volar", "Hipocresia", "El Perro Ajeno"… the list goes on. His self-titled album 'Rubby Perez" peaked at #15 in the Tropical Charts, and his song "Love Her" peaked at #29 in the Latin Charts.
