Event Description:
In leu of our regularly scheduled Public Policy Meeting for the month of January, we will instead be hosting our annual Report to Business on Friday, January 28th from 8:30AM – 10:30AM.
This event will be located at the Stroudsmoor Country Inn within the Terraview. Please register today here!
Our speaker’s include our Monroe County Commissioners, Pocono Mountain Economic Development Center and the very important updates on RAIL!
Speaking of passenger rail, please consider signing the petition to bring passenger rail to Monroe County. Our next goal is 1,000 signatures and when we reach that level, we are going to send it to Amtrak so they have the proof of public desire on the Pennsylvania side.
---------
Keep abreast of legislative issues on local, state, and national levels. Select those issues having an impact bearing on our business and membership. After appropriate committee action, present issues to board for acceptance, rejection, tabling, or no additional action. Insure that appropriate legislators, and/or legislative bodies are made aware of Chamber action. Lobby on behalf of action taken. The committee advises the Chamber Board of Directors on public policy issues that impact Chamber members and our community.
