In partnership with Preferred EAP, we are excited to present our final Coffee and Commerce of the year.
This month we will be discussing "How Mindfulness Can Help with Holiday Stress". For many, the winter holiday season is a time of cheer and celebration. It can be a great chance to spend time with family and friends and enjoy good food and gift-giving. But for many –the holiday season can feel like a very rushed and stressful time, bringing with it financial worries, extra travel, family drama or sadness for those who may be coping with the loss of loved ones. The media and advertising industries often create idealized versions of what the holidays should look like - causing us to compare and come up short.
This presentation will focus on how mindfulness can be an alternative to getting caught up in holiday stresses and expectations – and instead offer us a way to enjoy and appreciate moments of calm, gratitude, and connection with others.

- Experience a brief mindfulness practice
- Understand how mindfulness can help us respond vs react to holiday challenges
- Consider letting go of old patterns and habits that no longer of service
- Explore ways to prioritize the meaning of the season and true connection with others
