Pocono Mountains United Way kicks off a celebration of 80 years
Stroudsburg, PA - Pocono Mountains United Way is celebrating 80 years of service to the community with a “Back to the 80’s” themed kickoff event at Mountain View Vineyard, Winery and Distillery in Stroudsburg.
The kickoff event will be held on Friday, February 25, 2022, from 7 pm – 9 pm. Event entertainment will be provided by Erin Kelly and feature a signature cocktail, appetizers, desserts from Sonia’s Sweet Inspirations, a selfie station and prizes for best 80’s dressed. The event will also be the launch date of Mountain View Vineyard’s special blend wine in honor of Pocono Mountains United Way’s 80th anniversary.
Tickets cost $45 per individual and $80 for couples and can be purchased online. Attendees are encouraged to wear 80’s themed outfits and prizes will be awarded to the best 80’s outfit voted on by the judges.
“To celebrate 80 years of service in our wonderful Poconos community is a privilege and an honor. Despite the pandemic, we were able to serve over 15,000 individuals in 2021 thanks to our amazing community support. Events like our Back to the 80’s kickoff help our organization raise funds to continue to serve and meet community need. We would not be celebrating this milestone without the support of our community.” said, Michael Tukeva, President and CEO of Pocono Mountains United Way.
Randy & Linda Rice, co-owners of Mountain View Vineyard, Winery, Brewery & Distillery will be donating 50% of the proceeds from the sale of their limited -release bottles of Vision to support Pocono Mountains United Way. The event has a snow date of March 4, 2022 at the same time and location.
