ESU Sorority Lambda Iota raises funds to support breast cancer
(East Stroudsburg)  On April 28 the sisters of East Stroudsburg University’s Lambda Iota hosted the 7th Annual Tee Off for the Ta-Tas Golf Tournament.  Although the weather was wet and chilly, golfers came out to play the game.  Afterwards golfers and supporters enjoyed a dinner at Country Club of the Poconos Municipal Golf Course, East Stroudsburg.  They raised $2,300.00 for the Hope for Strength Breast Cancer Fund.

Lambda Iota is a local social service sorority at ESU in East Stroudsburg, PA, which was founded in 1975. Their main philanthropy is breast cancer. Although it’s their main philanthropy, they still participate and raise money for events that are for other diseases as well.  Recently the chapter won the Scholarship Award and the Community Service Award for Greek Awards.  For more information about Greek Life at ESU visit esu.edu/greek_life.

The proceeds that were raised benefit the Hope for Strength Breast Cancer Fund which helps to minimize the financial and emotional impact of breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. The Fund provides male and female breast cancer patients of the Dale and Frances Hughes Cancer Center, Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono, assistance with their basic living expenses.
