About Michael

Michael C. Wargo was born June 22, 1976 and was a big brother to his little sister Kerry Ann. Michael attended St. Peter & Paul School 1st through 5th grades and graduated with honors from Lehighton High School in 1994. He attended Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science with a medical program in 1998. Michael changed his mind about going to medical school and he instead decided to teach biology, chemistry and earth and space science because he fell in love with his college sweetheart. In October of 2012, after receiving a degree in computer science, Michael changed careers and worked for Boeing Aircraft until his death.
Michael enlisted in the Army after 9/11, and was assigned to Fort Drum, NY as a Non-Commissioned Officer, training infantry on how to survive nuclear, biological, and chemical war. He married his college sweetheart Julie on July 6th, 2003 and deployed August 6th, 2003 to Afghanistan for 10 months. He returned home May 16th, 2004 a different man after he witnessed the loss of 10 Army buddies.
Michael died on May 20th, 2013 at home, and was buried on his 37th birthday, June 22, 2013 in Sky View Memorial Cemetery, Tamaqua, PA. The Veteran’s Administration declared Michael’s death “Service Related” in April of 2014.
Michael is survived by his Mother and Father, Sarah and Mike Wargo, his sister Kerry Ann, his daughter Brianna (12), and his loving ex-wife Julie.
